The Fundly Refund and dispute policy

Last updated September 05, 2024

The Fundly is an organization dedicated to protecting animals and advancing our mission through public support. Our financial planning depends on non-refundable charitable donations. While donations are generally final, exceptions are made under specific circumstances.

Criteria for refund eligibility

Refunds are considered under the following conditions:

  • Errors made by The Fundly in processing donations.
  • Unauthorized use of a donor’s payment method (e.g., lost or stolen card).
  • Incorrect donation amounts entered by the donor.
  • Errors in setting up the donation frequency (e.g., unintentional recurring donations).
  • Other exceptional cases as deemed appropriate by our team.

Refund request procedure

To initiate a refund, donors must make the request by providing the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address used for donation
  • Country of residence
  • Phone number
  • Donation date and amount
  • Payment method used
  • Detailed explanation of the refund request

You can submit your request by completing the form on our contact page, or writing to:

THE FUNDLY CORPORATION
155 Willowbrook Blvd, Ste 110
Wayne, NJ 07470

Refund conditions

Refund requests must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the donation date.

We can only issue a refund to the same card or account from which the donation was made. This includes all credit and debit card payments, PayPal, direct debit, and all other payment methods currently available on our website.

The Fundly may ask for proof of identity before issuing a refund. If granted, the refund will be processed within 30 days of receiving your request.

Specific conditions for recurring donations

Donors have the option to give recurring or one-time donations. We are only able to refund donations from the thirty (30) days before the date of the refund request.

Recurring donations change or stop

To modify or cancel recurring donations, contact us at + 1 (754) 702-7691 at least 3 days before the next scheduled donation.

International donations

Refunds for non-USD transactions are processed in the original currency.
For donations exceeding $5,000 USD, the Federal Reserve’s historical exchange rates determine the refund amount.
Tax Considerations

Donors who have claimed a tax deduction for a refunded donation should consult their tax advisor to discuss potential amendments to their tax returns.

Donor Bill of Rights

Animal Equality subscribes to the Donor Bill of Rights created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Associations for Healthcare Philanthropy, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and the Giving Institute.
